Play It Again Sports

I went there this past week with some goalie equipment I wasn’t using anymore. I had a pretty much brand new chest pad, brand new knee guards used once, and gently used ( a bit old but zero tears or anything) trapper, blocker, and goalie pants. All name brand Reebok, ccm etc. I was hoping to get maybe 120-150 for it all and a guy maybe 22-25 years old, unsure what his experience was guessing prices offers me 70 bucks in total for the lot. I was a bit surprised but took the money and before I even left the store the employees were tagging the items I just basically gave away. I looked at the price for the chest pad alone and they marked it for 100 bucks plus tax …. I called them out on it and they didn’t have much to say as it’s absolutely outrageous what they gouge people for. I’m definitely never going back.

Thank you Alex. Yesterday we were looking for hockey helmets and walked into Play It Again and got immediate support from a knowledgable sales rep. Alex was managing multiple equipment returns and customer requests yet managed to keep the environment upbeat and positive and treated us with excellent customer service. We won’t go anywhere else for our sports gear!

Not too impressed with the customer service. Waited for the girl to assist me while she completed helping a family. Once done, she pretty much ignored me and left the skates section to stay at the cashier desk. Finally. I had to find my own skates...and I had no clue what I was doing. Hopefully I bought the right pair. Prices were good for used. Would I go back agsin? I doubt it.

I have always been a repeat customer as I have always been a man who will always support small business before box stores. I have purchased many skates to buying hockey gear in conjunction with other sports , to skate sharpening. However I was just about to purchase a pair of skates there last week and I put them back. As my friends golf clubs had been stolen December 31st. He had photos they were his , he filled a police report and play it again would not return the clubs and made him purchase his stolen clubs back as he did not have the cereal number. I will never do business with a store when they realize that they are selling stolen goods and not make it right with the customer. They could of written it off. My friend had a heart attack and uses golf for therapy. I Am in disbelief how rude , unprofessional and disrespectful they were to a victim of theft. Definitely no conscience or remorse they sell stolen property as they do not ask for identification. I will go to kunstat sports in kanata ongoing.
